>Name of cooperation- United Nations
- Description- the United Nations is a political organization and is the most important organization in the world. Established in 1945 at the end of WWII it replaced the League of Nations and was created to prevent another world war. Currently there are 192 members, 5 of them (US, UK, France, Russia and china) being permanent members active on the UN Security Council. The council’s role is to establish peace keeping operations and authorize military action. The UN does not have their own military so they rely on individual members for troops.
-Role- Australia has been an active member of the UN since its founding in 1945 by playing a significant role in drafting the UN charter. Australia has also acted in the council by being the 13th largest contributor to the UN’s financial budget.

-Description- the commonwealth is a regional economic organization made up of 53 independent states that were formerly under British rule and whose members seek economic and cultural cooperation.
-Role- Australia has been a member of the commonwealth ever since its founding over 60 years ago and is the third largest contributor to the commonwealth budget. It plays a leading role in the development of the commonwealth by actively participating in meetings and programs by being included in the Commonwealth Secretariat’s Board of Governors and its Executive Committee.
